Excellent afternoon with Meryl White, aka Grandma Abson’s Traditional Baking! Very entertaining and informative talk about the history of Afternoon Teas with a lovely group of women with lots of chattering and laughing! Hugely reassured that we have our sandwiches, scones and cakes in the correct order on our three tier cake stands!! DId you know that hats AND gloves are the required wear for Afternoon Tea? And that we owe the whole lovely tradition to Anna, 7th Duchess of Bedford??
Absolutely sure we’ll be doing another one!!
